Welcome to the homepage of the International Evidence-Based Histopathology Working Group (iEBH-WG), an official affiliate of the iEBA-WG and partner of the Department of Anatomy, Jagiellonian University Medical College, Krakow, Poland. The group was formed with the aim of exploring new frontiers in evidence-based histology and pathology. Additionally, our team works to promote the use of evidence-based research methods in the histologic and pathologic sciences. iEBH-WG  is proud of the diversity of interests amongst our team who share a common passion for histopathology.

The main aims of our group include:

To study histology through the use of meta-analysis and systematic reviews in order to provide a new understanding of microstructure of the human body.

To conduct original research studies in the fields of histology, pathology, and microsurgical anatomy.

To help facilitate the transition of histology into an evidence-based medical science.

To study pathology through the use of meta-analysis and systematic reviews in order to better understand disease processes and improve clinical outcomes.

To work in collaboration with the iEBA-WG, to study microsurgical anatomy through the use of meta-analysis and systematic reviews in order to improve the outcomes of surgical procedures and reduce the risk iatrogenic injuries.

To improve the methods and techniques of evidence-based histology and pathology research.

To educate and spread the knowledge of evidence-based histopathology throughout the medical community.
